Piano Technique by Paul White
Paul White studied music at Cambridge University, London University Institute of Education and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His teachers included Hilda Bor and James Gibb. He has worked
as a teacher in many different countries and has composed and recorded numerous piano works for the internet. This guide to technique aims to be concise and practical. It was motivated by the feeling that, despite the abundance of literature on the subject, there were still numerous pieces of the jigsaw puzzle missing, particularly concerning the interaction of fingerwork, arm movements and arm weight. In particular, key elements in the "Raised Finger" and "Arm Weight" schools, traditionally opposed, are integrated here in a unified approach.
